Job Announcement-Library of Congress

Program Specialist (Vacancy No. 100151) in the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the Library of Congress.  The Program Specialist will assist the Executive Program Officer and other members of the team in implementing the Digital Preservation Outreach and Education (DPOE) Program and be responsible for helping to build and operate a national training network of partners committed to digital preservation outreach and education.

The salary range is $89,033.00 – $115,742.00. Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Writing reports, funding requests, and other materials for publication
  • Planning or accomplishing special projects
  • Performing work to develop and maintain relationships with government, private industry, academic institutions, libraries, museums and other cultural heritage organizations
  • Providing guidance for building a national digital preservation education program
  • Performing research drawing upon a variety of sources and electronic databases
